Notes
- Different rates apply for Society members and non-members.
- Special Offer: If you are not a member of the Society and would like to join, you can join during registration at a special introductory rate — see option for ‘Non-member special offer’ below (the usual annual membership rate is £26 p.a.)
- Accommodation: N.B. Rate 1 / Rate 1(s) (i.e., rates which full conference registration with accommodation) are not available in 2024 — However, accommodation can be booked using the link here. (B&B at St Anne’s costs £92 per night.) Please ensure you type code: PH36649 where it asks for a ‘code’. This will allow availability in connection with conference to be displayed for reservation. N.B. The promotional code should be inputted before selecting the arrival and departure date.
- Alternatively the following hotels may be able to provide accommodation:
- The Old Parsonage Hotel (in agreement with Oxford University, this hotel offers 10% discount from their best available rate on accommodation only. Guests can add breakfast if required for a supplement of £20 per person, per day. Important
- If you are registering on behalf of someone else, please provide the delegate’s full name and contact details (including email) in the ‘Add special instructions to conference admin’ box before completing payment.
- Please complete only one shopping cart per delegate.
- Registration is complete when you have completed steps 1 and 2. (unless you are a postgraduate student who is presenting a paper at the event — in which case you need only complete step 1 and do not need to complete the step below.).
- N.B. The registration options below do not include accommodation, which should be booked separately.

- When you ‘add to cart’, a new tab will open in your browser with a PayPal shopping cart (your item will be added there).
- If you are selecting more than one item, return to the list below and ‘add to cart’ another item/s – the PayPal shopping cart will be updated with any items you add from the list below.
- Once you have the items you need in the cart, you can select a ‘check out’ option to make the payment (you can either use your own PayPal account. or use the guest checkout option — which will allow you to pay by credit card without any need to hold /set up a PayPal account.
- Once you complete the payment you will receive a receipt via the PayPal system.
N.B. Postgraduate students who are presenting a paper at the event: registration fees, including 2 nights accommodation can be waived if registration is completed before 01 May 2024. (For PG presenters who register after 01 May – only full weekend day delegate / day delegate rates will be waived.). Please do not book accommodation via the link if you are taking the waiver and have registered before 01 May. It is enough to have completed step 1 advising any accommodation requirement/s. The organisers will contact you with details of the accommodation once this is arranged. If you are registering after 01 May, or if you need any additional accommodation, please book via the link above or by your own arrangement.

- Cancellation policy: due to the nature of the event and conditions of the client booking contract, only fees pertaining to registration (max £100 for full weekend registration / £50 for single day) can be reimbursed in the event of any cancellation. Cancellation can be made at any point up until the close of registration on 31 May. Registration fees cannot be reimbursed after this time.
- N.B. Regrettably, the Society cannot be held responsible for changes to the programme which occur as a result of pandemic restrictions, volcanic ash or other natural occurrences which might disrupt air travel, nor can the Society be held liable for reimbursing conference fees of delegates consequently unable to attend.

Join the Society
Membership of the Society is open to anyone interested in our aims, whether or not you hold a philosophical qualification or are employed as a professional philosopher.
Membership currently costs £26 per annum, or £14 for postgraduates. This includes online access to the Journal of Applied Philosophy, as well as a reduced fee for the Society’s annual conference. Members can also apply for event funding through the Society’s grant scheme.
Membership and journal subscription are handled by Wiley, as the publishers of the Journal of Applied Philosophy. The button will take you through to their website.
